Think of her as the cool step- step- stepmother who might have been. Sister Adalva's the most constant maternal figure in Jordan's life, and Father certainly likes her, but legally speaking a priestess is married to her job. At least she always finds time to help the kids with their pet projects, like making cookies or coping with the trauma of inexplicable horror.
